Listing Text

SE20SW (west side, off),

3/38 Former stable building
immediately north-west
of No 2 Bullhouse


Stable range. Probably early C18. Coursed, squared rubble. Stone slate
roof. Two, possibly three storeys, four bays. Four entrances with massive
quoined surrounds. Cart entry with segmental head (part-blocked). Three
small windows, right one with added light on left. Three square windows to
1st floor and a smaller one at lower level on right. Two openings
It blocked) at high level to right may indicate a 3rd storey. Rear: door and
window openings obscured by raised ground level. Ventilatian slits.
Left gable: door at intermediate level with light above.
Right gable: entrance with quoined surround and 2 tiny chamfered lights. One
2-light, double-chamfered window in gable apex.
