Farmhouse. Late C16/early C17, possibly a remodelling of an earlier house.
Rendered; double Roman tiled roof; brick stacks. 2 storeys and single storey
with attics in half-dormers to right. 5 windows: mixture of sash windows, some
with glazing bars and some large pane sashes; those to the left of the porch
have ovolo moulded lintels, and dripmoulds. Off-centre, gabled, projecting
2-storey porch. (The 2 bays to the right of the porch are at a slightly lower
level). The inner door is panelled and studded and has strap hinges with fleur-
de-lys ends and a pointed head; pointed and chamfered ashlar surround; similar
rear door. 2 storey rear (north) wing; 3-light casement window with ovolo
moulded mullions at south end of rear elevation. Interior. Chamfered beams
with scroll stops; fireplace lintels with run-out stops. Hall has a framed
ceiling with an elaborate hollow moulding; the fireplace has ashlar jambs with
hollow/ovolo mouldings and stops; decorative carved lintel (restored). Hall
chamber has hollow moulded lintel to blocked fireplace. Formerly a cross-
