House. Timber frame of west wing possibly C15 (Ryder) and of the hall range C16 (dendro date 1537-39). The east wing and rear outshut probably C18 or early C19. C20 alterations.

Rendered with applied timber boarding to cover framing. Stone slate roof. H-plan with rear outshut to two-bay hall range, the left (west) wing is two-bays long. Two storeys. Both wings are gabled and have one two-light window to each floor. The hall range has a central ground-floor window with entrance to far right and two two-light windows to first floor. Brick stacks. Outshut to rear with altered openings. Rear of west wing shows exposed posts, tie-beam and curving braces.

Interior: the west wing has a collar rafter roof with evidence that the ends were formerly half-hipped (Ryder), some framing survives in east wall. The hall has a king-post roof with raking struts and tie-beams are braced to posts. The central tie-beam has been cut out to increase headroom probably when the hall was floored in C17 or early C18.
