SE 30 NW (South side) Kexbrough

4/102 Barn along south side
3/102 of farmyard at
Kexbrough Hall Farm


Barn. C16 or C17. Timber frame with later much-altered cladding. Coursed
rubble. Sheet metal roof. Seven internal bays. Square-headed cart
entrances to bays 3 & 5 (the latter part-blocked). Later additions to left
and right not of special interest. Addition to real. Interior: At least 6
(possibly 7) post and truss frames. fling-post trusses with struts. Jowelled
posts straight-braced to tie-beams (some missing). The left frame is against
the gable wall and has chevron pattern studding.
