Two tomb chests. c1759 and c1782. Sandstone with moulded edges and fluted
corners.
The chest to east has arched relief decoration at head and crude winged
angels in corners and is dedicated to: Joseph horeton of Clayton, surgeon
and apothecary d. 1759 aged 44 -years. Also his son d. 1752.
The chest to west has simple moulded edge. To: Sarah Croft wife of Isaac
Croft of Leeds and daughter of George and Sarah Dyson of Wheatley Hill d.
1782. Also George Croft d. 1786 aged b8 years. Also other members of the
family from 1754 to 17B5.
