Row of 3 cottages now 2 dwellings. Mid C18. Deeply-coursed, dressed sandstone,
stone slate eaves courses to left part of pantile roof. 2 storeys, total of
3 windows to 1st floor, wing to rear left, addition to rear right. Large quoins.
Smithy Cottage to left has paired central doorways with tooled, bonded surrounds
with deep lintels, right doorway blocked and now with small circular window. To
each side a C20 casement in original square-faced surround with sills lowered and
central mullions removed; 2 similar windows above. The Cottage has casement to
left in position of former door and casement to right within altered square-faced
surround; similar window above. Present doorway in addition set back to right.
Shaped kneelers (that to right missing), gable copings. Brick end stacks and
similar ridge stack at junction. Left return: wing formerly housed village
smithy and has blocked opening to shoeing bay.
