Garden wall and gate piers. Probably late C18, repaired. Rubble limestone,
brick inner skin, ashlar copings and gate piers. Tall boundary wall enclosing
polygonal site of Barnburgh Hall (demolished) and its gardens; gate piers to
drive skirting south and east wall; break in wall at north-east corner near
site of hall. Rusticated and corniced inner and outer gate piers linked by
dwarf walls with saddleback copings. Plain wall has blocked, quoined doorway with
tripartite keystone to east of gateway. 2 corniced piers in east limb of wall.
North wall has interesting quoined doorway with triangular head and panel over
with sea creatures carved in relief.
