Rectory. c1850. Stuccoed walling, stone slate roof. 2 storeys, 3 x 3 bays;
in Tudor-Gothic Revival style. Gabled central bay breaks forward and has
single-storey porch with moulded doorway arch having sunken spandrels; angle
buttresses rise as pinnacles; gable copings with cross. Tall flanking windows
to main wall have geometrical cast-iron glazing bars. Outer bays have 3-light
mullioned windows with chamfered surrounds, Tudor-arched lights and hoodmoulds
with large lozenge-shaped stops. 2-light windows to 1st floor in same style, the
hoodmoulds of outer windows set beneath corbelled parapet which returns to sides
of ashlar-coped central gable having blind rectangular light. Coped end gables,
that to left with finial. Tall castellated chimney pots visible to rear of ridge.
Garden front on left return, in same style, has recessed central bay with renewed
French window. Flanking bays break forward and have 2-storey canted-bay windows.
Shafts rise from corbels on each gable to form finials. Parapet of central bay
decorated with cusped, blind tracery. 2 ridge-stack bases to pots as seen from
front. Flat-roofed projection set back on left has stack in angle with main range.
Interior: contemporary panelled doors and fireplace fittings in Gothic Revival
style. Gothic arches in entrance hall, central stair-hall lit by lantern.
