forming south-mast
side of farmyard at
Fenwick Hall
Shelter-shed and attached loose-box. c1800. Red brick, pantile roof partly
with stone slate eaves course. L-shaped single-story range enclosing fold
yard with 2-cell loose-box adjoined by 5-bay shelter shed having 3-bay
return. Loose-box has 2 doorways with segmental arches. Open-fronted
shelter shed on right has square stone monolithic piers with plinths and
padstones, brick pier with partition wall between bays 3 and 4. Return to
front right, in same style, has brick partition to right-hand by and hipped
end to roof set lower than roof of loose-box.
Interior: feading racks within each part, feeding trough to rear wall of part
of shelter-shed. Included for group value.
