Stable-block now garage. Late C18. Red brick in Flemish bond, pantile roof.
2 storeys with dovecote loft, 1 : 3 : 1 bays, central bays break forward;
attached wing wall on left. Central boarded door beneath flat arch within
recessed round-arched panel; flanking slatted casements with stone sills and
flat arches; outer bays blind. 1st floor: windows to bay 2 and 4 as ground
floor, boarded central opening. Eaves cornice continued as string course
across 3-bay pediment with oculus in tympanum having boarding pierced by
pigeon holes; apex weathervane. Ends have kneelers and ashlar gable copings.
Tall wing wall on left, set back, has a round-arched doorway with impost and
keystone blocks and blind recess on its left; beyond a further wall has
garage door beneath segmental arch; ashlar copings drop and sweep down to
left. Formerly stable-block to No 54 (Pyenest (q.v.)).
