Milepost. Late C19. Maker: Brayshaw and Booth, Liversedge. Cast-iron
plaque fixed on stone pillar. Flat, round-headed plaque with panel at the
head and two below; raised lettering reads:

on upper panel : DONCASTER & THORNE / ROAD / HATFIELD

on left : DONCASTER / 7 MILES (also maker's name)

on right : THORNE / 3 3/4 MILES

Unusual example for this foundry which supplied mileposts to turnpikes
throughout the West Riding.
