Public house. Late C18, altered. Painted brick in Flemish bond, pantile roof. Three storeys, three bays (facing High Street) x one bay (facing Wharf Street). C20 pedimented doorcase flanked by C20 bowed casement windows, similar window on far right. First floor: Sixteen-pane sash to centre has projecting stone sill and flat brick arch; sashes with glazing bars to outer bays have similar sills and arches. Second floor: central ten-pane sash and outer eight-pane sashes with sills and arches as before. Dentilled eaves. Roof is hipped on right with large rebuilt brick stack between bays two and three; brick end stack to left end gable. Right return: C20 ground-floor window beneath windows as front bay three.
