GV II
House. Probably late C17 core, refronted mid C18; altered C19 and C20. Red
brick (in Flemish bond on front facing Church Street); pantile roofs.
2 storeys with attics, 3 bays (to Church Street); entrance in wing to rear
right (lining Wharf Street). Front: infilled central doorway now has
projecting stone sill to plain sash beneath cambered brick arch. Outer bays
have similar sashes beneath rubbed-brick flat arches. 1st floor: band
beneath windows as ground floor. Moulded lead rainwater hoppers to brick
parapet having nosed copings; 2 later roof dormers; brick end stacks. Right
return (facing Wharf Street): brick floor bands and shaped gable on left.
