approximately 20 metres
to south of Wadworth
Hall

GV II

Sundial pedestal. Probably mid C18 for Josias Wordsworth of Wadworth Hall
(q,v.). Magnesian limestone. Circular plinth with nosing surmounted by
vase-shaped baluster with turned foot, gadrooning and plain neck. Round
platform now without sundial. Forms centrepiece of formal garden to entrance
front of hall. Included for group value.
