SE 50 NW (north side),

11/21 Nos. 17-19

Group of 3 houses. 1908. By Percy Houfton for the Brodsworth Colliery
Company. Brick ground floor, roughcast above; later cement-tile roof.
2 storeys, 1 : 1 : 2 : 1 : 1 windows to 1st floor; near-symmetrical
composition. Wooden casements with glazing bars throughout. No. 18 (to
centre) has later door beneath canopy on curved brackets with windows of
4 lights on left and of 3 lights on right; continuous tile dripcourse; two
4-light windows to 1st floor with tile dripcourse beneath central gable with
lozenge motif. No. 19 (on left): similar doorway on left of a canted
2-storey bay with windows of 2 : 2 : 2 lights and vertical wooden studding
between floors; to left of door a 3-light window beneath 4-light window. No
17 (on right); as No. 19 but handed and with old boarded door. Swept eaves.
Dentilled brick end stacks corbelled from the gables; 2 matching ridge
stacks. Part of Woodlands colliery village (see under Church of All Saints,
Central Avenue).
