Pair of semi-detached houses. 1907-8. By Percy Houfton for the Brodsworth
Colliery Company. Roughcast, later cement-tile roof. 2 storeys,
2 : 2 windows to 1st floor; reflected pair. Wooden casements with glazing
bars throughout. No. 5 (on left) has door beneath bracketed canopy flanked
by 3-light windows under tile dripmoulds; similar windows to 1st floor with
tiie dripcourse beneath a gable. No. 6 is the same but has later porch
addition. Swept eaves. Roughcast end stacks corbelled from the gables;
central ridge stack. Part of the 1st phase of Woodlands colliery village
(see under Church of All Saints, Central Avenue).
