Workshops. Early C19. For the Owston Hall estate. Rubble magnesian
limestones, pantile roofs. 2-storey, 2-bay workshop set forward on right of
1-storey, 3-cell range. Workshop on right has double boarded doors on right
of large casement with vertical glazing bars, wooden lintels with basket
relieving arches over; boarded lst-floor hatch; ivy clad roof partly
collapsed at time of resurvey. Lower range on left, also overgrown, has old
boarded doors and casements.
interior: forge in right-hand part of 1-storey range has bellows, brick
hearth and quenching trough. 2-storey part has fitted benches with vices and
probably served as a carriage repair shop.
