Public House. Late c18/early C19 with some later alterations. Stucco with
stone dressings and slate roof. Three storeys and 5 bays, 1:3:1. Plinth.
Large segmental archway, of one and half storeys high, through building to
left bay. Entrance to bay 3, 6 raised and fielded panelled door and divided
overlight in doorcase with engaged columns with foliage capitals, plain frieze
and moulded cornice. To left a tripartite window with 12 and 4 pane sashes
and two similar windows to right. Above a wide first floor sill band. Three
central bays have full height unequally hung 15 pane sashes, side ones with
C20 ironwork balconies and right bay has full height tripartite bow window
with unequally hung 15 and 5 pane sashes, ironwork balcony and moulded cornice.
Three central 6 pane second floor sashes, with large 9 pane sash set slightly
lower over the archway to left and tripartite sash window with glazing bars
to right. Ground and second floor windows with projecting sills. Moulded
cornice with bracketed gutter below. Large rendered end and ridge stacks.
