4/132 Wall retaining the Terrace
31.7.73 immediately to the front of Nos.
G.V. 13-27, the Smyth Almshouses


Retaining wall to a terrace. 1900-02 by Edward Gabriel of Bristol. Coursed
rubble wall approximately 4 feet high; ashlar coping with an ovolo moulding.
At intervals are square piers with a moulded cornice and a ball finial. At the
west end the wall bows out to retain a semi-circular forecourt.
