10/56 Gate piers to drive of
Middlewood Hall.

Pair of gate piers. Early C19. Gritstone, finely finished siltstone
urns. Square moulded plinths, monolithic piers incised with line
decoration. Moulded cornice, large urn-shaped finials built up in
4 parts with gadrooned base and cap. Formed the main
entrance to Middlewood Hall (q.v.) which is now entered from Mowson Lane.
