Wrongly shown on O.S. map as Thorn House. Barn now used as stable.
Probably C17. Cruck framed, coursed, squared gritstone rubble, C20
cement-tile roof. Partly 2-storey, 3 bays (internal). Large quoins.
Near centre, cart entry has large harr-hung boarded doors in quoined
reveals. To left, altered stable door and casement window opening.
Door to right end in quoined surround with casement window on each
floor to its left. Moulded kneelers each with carved finial, gable
copings with matching apex finials. Interior: stone-paved threshing
floor, large opposed cart entry. 2 cruck pairs to left have ogee-
profile blades. Wall tie beam to right truss. An early principal-
rafter truss to right otherwise roof renewed. Low building attached
to right and large modern shed attached at rear not of special interest.
