fixed to gritstone pillar. Angled sides beneath round-headed panel.
Raised lettering reads :

BARNES GREEN.
On left panel : ROTHERHAM / 7 MILES / CHAPELTOWN (lower
part buried).
On right panel : PENISTONE / 7ΒΌ MILES
