fixed on sandstone pillar. Raised lettering reads:

On left side: DONCASTER/12 MILES/GONISBORO/7 MILES/HOOTON/ROBERTS/

On right side: BARNSLEY/9¾ MILES/WENTWORTH/2 MILES

Displaced and lying in ditch to rear of grass verge at time of resurvey.
Forms part of a well-preserved sequence of mileposts on this route.
