Farmhouse now 2 dwellings. Early C19. Red brick in Flemish bond,
sandstone rubble roadside gable, stone slate roof. 2 storeys. 2-window
main range with 2-window addition to left, set back; rear wing to each
part. Part-glazed door in decorative, trellised wood porch. Flanking
tripartite sashes with projecting stone sills, wood mullions and flat
brick arches. 1st-floor windows same, all with 16-pane central sash and
4-pane outer lights. Large sundial over porch with scrolled support to
iron gnomon and cornice. Sundial inscribed:'Vive memor quam fis aevi
brevit' and 'Delineavit Johan Metcalfe 1766'. Ashlar-coped parapet and
gables, end stacks. Block to left has 16-pane sashes with projecting
sills and stone lintels. Arched head of blocked doorway to right of
windows. End stack to left, shared stack to right.
