Gates and railings. Early C19. For the Wentworth estate. Ashlar
sandstone plinth and end piers; iron railings and gates. Set in
gentle curve opposite entrance to Wentworth Park at Doric Lodge (q.v.).
Plinth wall. Round bars, some with forked bases. Spiked finials above
plain top rail. 4 square-sectioned gate-piers each with openwork frame
of vertical and diagonal bars, upswept apexes with finials. Central
gates and fixed side panels in matching style. Railings terminate
at monolithic, corniced piers.
