Milepost. 2nd half C19. Maker: Brayshaw and Booth, Liversedge. Cast-iron,
fixed on sandstone pillar. Angled sides and sloping top plate beneath round-
headed panel. Raised lettering reads:
On upper panel: ROTHERHAM WORTLEY & FOUR / LANE ENDS / ROAD / ROTHERHAM
On left side: ROTHERHAM / 2 MILES
On right side: PENISTONE / 12 1/4 MILES / CHAPELTOWN / 3 1/2 MILES
