Dovecote approximately 75 metres to south west of Church Rooms
(formerly listed as The Dovecote)

Dovecote. Probably late C18, renovated c1982. Stone plinth; red brick in
Flemish bond; stone slate eaves course to tile roof. Octagonal, 2-storey
elevations. Plinth. Doorway in south-east side has boarded door in rock-faced
surround with keystone worked on lintel; no other openings on lower storey.
1st-floor string course beneath round-arched recess on each face; recess above
door and that to right have pigeon holes. Eaves dentil course. Hipped roof
with lead ridges and louvred glover having weathervane.

Interior: central post with revolving ladder; tiers of nesting holes beneath
segmental arches. Originally associated with South Farm; renovated by the
Council for Preservation of Rural England.
