Malpas Hill Cottages
GV II
Pair of cottages. Mid C18, C20 addition to rear. Thinly-coursed limestone
rubble, pantile roof. 2 storeys, total of 3 windows to 1st floor. Each
cottage has door in bonded ashlar surround. Central window and outer windows
have casements with horizontal glazing bars in square-faced surrounds
(probably originally mullioned), window to far right has lowered sill.
Similar lst-floor windows. Brick stack at eaves to left of centre; raised
verges with brick end stacks. Single-storey additions to each end, that on
left with door on left of window, that on right with window on left of garage
doors. Rear: blocked slit vents may indicate origin as a barn.
