Farmhouse. Dated 1682, altered C18, extended early C19. Coursed, squared
sandstone, renewed pantile roof. 2 storeys and attics, 1:3 bays, outshut to
rear right. Original house on right: large quoins. Central part-glazed door
in ashlar surround with moulded arris flanked by 9-pane casements with
glazing bars, projecting sills and flat arches with raised keystones. 1st
floor: similar windows, central window has leaded lights and is set beneath
panel painted 'OAK HOUSE / FARM / AD 1682' and 6-pane casement with matching
surround beneath 1-bay gable. Added bay to left: glazed door beneath flat
arch with keystone to left of 6-pane casement on each floor, surrounds
matching outer bays. Shaped kneelers and gable copings to each end of range,
brick end stacks and ridge stack to left end of original 3-bay house.
