Granary and dovecote with attached barn. Mid C18. Coursed squared
sandstone, sheet asbestos roof. Tall, 1-storey, 4-bay barn with 3-storey
single-cell granary/davecate attached to right end. Barn: segmental-arched
waggon entrance with slit vent over, left part obscured by adjoining range
(not of special interest) which forms link to Holme Farmhouse (q.v.). Rear
of barn: lower, opposed, segmental-arched opening. Granary/dovecote:
cartshed entrance with wooden lintel beneath keyed segmental relieving arch.
1st-floor granary doorway on left has banded ashlar surround with square
casement in ashlar surround on right over arch. 2nd-floor dovecote lunette
with corbelled ledge and keystone. Right return: square-headed dovecote
opening with corbelled ledge.
Interior: dovecote lined with remains of lath and plaster nesting holes.
