Pair of houses. Mid C18. Rubble magnesian limestone, stone slate eaves
courses to pantile roof. Large projecting quoins. Two storeys, five bays. No. 9
occupying three bays on left has central 6-panelled door in stone architrave
flanked by casements in 2-light square-faced, mullioned surrounds. No 11 on
right, has similar window on left of later lean-to addition (not of special
interest) with door in its left return. 1st-floor band. Bay three has
architraved single-light window, otherwise windows as ground floor. Eaves
cornice. Shaped kneelers, remains of roll-moulded gable copings. Large
brick ridge stack between bays three and four. C20 end stack projects from left
return. Rear: mostly altered except for door (now window) below ridge stack
which has moulded ashlar surround, single-light window above with remains of
sundial over; 2-light windows as front on left, similar windows on right
without mullion. C20 additions to rear of each house not of special
interest.
