Low house row of mid C18 origin doubled with 2-storey south fronts and other
alterations in the early C19, ie circa 1800-20. The row belonged to the Low Moor
Iron Company. Large blocks of gritstone roughly coursed. Stone slate roofs, tall
stone chimneys over low houses. Squared stone framed windows, some of 2 lights
with square mullions, linked to door surrounds. The 2 storey south front has 2 and
3 light square mullion windows. Plain doorways.
