Built in 1709 with some alterations to windows mid to late C18 and east side rebuilt
1890. Two storeys sandstone "brick" south front and side, but earlier gritstone
with large quoins to rear wing and outshuts. Stone slate roof with corniced
chimneys. Four light square mullion windows. Blocked chamfered mullion window to
rear. Gabled pitch with reset date stone in rebuilt 1890 east side. The barn
flanks the west side of the house and is of the same build but extended in the C19.
Dry walled gritstone. Stone slate roof. Original part aisled and with 3 braced
King post trusses. The aisle has been bricked off but retains aisle posts with
bracing to tie beams.
