Circa 1820 cottage row, predating Buttershaw Mill. Two-storeys, large sandstone
"bricks". Block brackets to wood gutter eaves. Stone slate roofs; saddlestones to
gable ends with large rectangular kneelers. Originally 2 or 3 light square mullion
windows with single light over doorway, No 11 retains mullions, all flush framed.
Deep set framed doorways with cornice hoods on shaped plain brackets.
