Early C18 or possibly C17 origin, 2-storey farmhouse with lower adjoining cottage.
Irregular coursed sandstone with some gritstone, flush quoins. Stone slate roofs;
gable ends of farmhouse have parapet copings rising from shaped kneelers. The
farmhouse has 2 windows to road: 4 light chamfered mullions, and central mullioned
transomed stair light. The cottage, No 38, has one-storey only to road; flush
quoins; blocked 3 light chamfered mullion windows. To the south garden front the
farmhouse has 3 windows: 2 light chamfered mullion outer windows and centred single
light, in splayed painted surrounds. The cottage is 2-storeyed on this front with
two 4 light chamfered mullion windows.
