Early C19 two-storey house No 242 being a slightly later extension. Sandstone"brick". Chamfered rusticated quoins to 244. Gable end stone slate roof, saddle-stones with prominent kneelers, corniced chimneys. Three tripartite, stone framed, square mullion windows. Paired doorways to right hand giving on to flight of steps with plain rails. Similar doorway to left. The extension has three sash windows on first floor; two light unframed square mullion on ground floor and four panel door with steps up and plain rails.
