The farmhouse is a late C18 or early C19 rebuild or extension of the C17 cottage
which is lower and adjoins to east. The farmhouse is of 2-storeys coursed sandstone
and gritstone with stone slate roof, kneelers. Three light square mullion windows
to ground floor on rear road elevation. On this front the cottage has a single-
storey outskirt with a 2 light chamfered mullion window in moulded surround. On
the south front the cottage is of 2-storeys with flush quoins. Three light
chamfered mullion window on first floor and 6 light one on ground floor with drip
mould. Doorway with dated lintel of 1650. The south front of the farmhouse proper
has 3 narrow 2 light square mullion, flush framed windows, the mullions removed
on ground floor.
