ST 35 NW HUTTON C.P. MAIN ROAD (north side)

4/13 Sutherland House


House. Early C19, extended mid C19. Stucco, slate roof. 2 storeys, 2 windows,
further 3 to right in later wing; windows are tall glazing bar sashes, ground
floor have pelmets, later porch off-centre right, heavy, overhanging eaves with
lozenge decoration to soffit, hipped roof; later wing to right has 2- and 3-light
casements under cambered heads; 2 window return at left has a 2 storey semi-
circular bay, french windows below with pelmets, glazing bar sashes above.
Garden front: 2 storeys, 2 windows, further wing to left culminates in canted
bay, plain entrance in re-entrant angle under quarter circle Doric portico with
4 columns, windows as front except one round headed.
