Built circa 1635, an irregular group of 2-storeyed gabled buildings of which the
central position, No 9, once formed a chapel, No 10 being the adjoining former
vestry. Irregularly coursed gritstone, large quoins. Stone slate roofs with
saddlestones, prominent boldly carved kneelers. Altered as tenements early C19.
Chamfered mullioned and transomes windows, of 4, 5 or 6 lights, drip moulds on
ground floor. Massive lintels to chamfered doorways. No 10 is set back. Interior
altered.
