1/23 Gout House Farmhouse

Farmhouse. Early C17, altered and extended early C19. Roughcast rubble,
pantile roof, raised verges. Former L-plan with cross passage. 2 storeys,
4 windows, all 16-light glazing bar sashes. Central door under large gabled
porch with cambered head opening as have ground floor windows. Semi-attached,
2 storey, gabled rear extension to right (east) has small casements. Interior:
cross passage remains; left (west) room, now subdivided, has blacked inglenook,
winder stair and framed ceiling of ovolo and ogee moulded beams; right room has
chamfered door surround to dairy wing which is altered in the C19.
