Early C18 two-storey gritstone building on rectangular plan with chamfered quoins,
sill band and corbelled eaves to hipped slate roof. South windows, fixed glazing
bars, in raised flat surrounds. The laundry is placed immediately to the rear of the
Hall and built into the main wall is a crenellated C16 tombstone with 3 niches and
4 shields, inscribed "Elesabet Pudsay": the last Prioress of Esholt nunnery. She
died circa 1540.
