Circa 1820-30 long range of sandstone "brick" cottages, slightly stepped up hill
in pairs. Stone slate roofs with spaced "dentils" to eaves. Corniced chimneys.
First floor sill band. Single and 2-light square mullion windows in squared
surrounds. Squared jamb doorways. Unaltered cottage sequence important in street
picture.
