Date 1783. Pair of sandstone "brick" cottages incorporated in slightly later row.
Raised quoins and plat band. Stone slate roof, block bracket to eaves. Two-light
square mullion windows in squared surrounds. Ashlar date panel with shaped head
inscribed "Built in the year 1783" with initials C over E F; shield below with what
appears to be masonic symbols: crossed calipers and axe, thistle and small pick or
stone hammer held in hand.
