4/13 Statue of King John, about 10 metres
north of Naish House

Statue. Late C18/early Cigo Limestone. Square ashlar base with moulded
cornice. Carved standing figure of King John with a falcon on his left hand, a
scroll in his right and the Magna Carta at his feet. Part of the extensive
service and garden buildings of the former Naish House (burnt and demolished),
all in a Gothic style; statue now in the grounds of mid C20 Naish House.
