Farmhouse. Possibly late C15/early C16 origin, with alterations mainly of C17
and C20. Rubble, painted, double Roman tiled roof with ridge and gable stack,
pantiled rear wing. Former through passage, L-plan formed by rear former dairy
wing. North elevation of 1 1/2 storeys and 2 windows, has at ground floor two
3-light metal casements with timber lintels and hood moulds, blocked door to
right of ridge stack, 2 small gables above, each with similar 2-light casement.
Left return has small single light at ground floor and similar 2-light casement
above; attached to left, 1 1/2 storey rear wing has 3-light casement at ground
floor and 4-pane light under eaves. Rear of main range has 2-light casement at
ground floor and 3-light above, both with timber lintel, small gable above,
studded door to right with raised fillets; single storey C20 lean-to in angle of
L-plan with 3-light casement and door, forming link to former separate single
storey outhouse with 2-light casement to side and 6-pane light at gable end;
rear gable end of former dairy wing has 1/2-glazed door and 2-light casement above.
Interior: door to dairy has ventilation slits, plain frame; 3-room plan in main
range has end room to east with chamfered and stopped beams, chamfered lintel to
fireplace with bar and run out stops, round-headed door to right leads to newel
stair with blocked stair light. Central room has framed ceiling in 2 panels,
deep-chamfered beams and similar lintel to fireplace, studded door with raised
battens in moulded frame. At first floor, principal beams over central room
have curved feet, rest of roof structure not visible. Mummified cat said to
