Engine house. 1850 for Thomas Nicholl. Coursed squared stone, no roofing material
at time of resurvey (October 1985). 3 storeys with basement to south side. Gabled
west front: 3 bays. Blocked archway on left; boarding over opening on right.
Windows have stone lintels, raised cills and traces of small-pane glazing survives.
Oculus in gable. Right return: 5 bays. Basement has door on left. Ground-floor
windows blocked and shorter than those above. Eaves table. Originally housed 2
beam engines.
