1780 by John Bacon. Stone urn on pedestal. Erected by Hester, Lady Chatham
in 1871 in memory of her husband. Inscriptions tell of the vase's subsequent
travels from Burton Pynsent, to Stowe in 183l, to Revesby in 1857 and finally
to Chevening in 1934.
