Church {of} Saint Peter

The Parish Church. C12. Tower C15. Arcaded Norman and Early English west front.
Large proportions. Many excellent monuments of first half of C18. Originally
the church of the Augustinian Priory of Dunstable, founded by Henry I in 1131.
Nave used as parish church since 1392. Restored and south aisle rebuilt by Somers
Clarke, 1852. Brasses of 1516 and 1640.

Priory House Gateway and the Church of Saint Peter form a group.
