Stable block. Mid C19. Brick with stone dressings, slate
roof. 2 storeys, 5 bays, central bay breaks forward under
open pediment. Band over ground floor; top frieze cornice
and blocking course; rusticated quoins. Central bay of
stone, with channelled rustication and elliptical arched
carriage entrance. Pediment contains arms. (Arms: Fimbrated
bend with 3 roundels. Crest: Falcon on stump. Motto: Alte
Volo). Flanking bays have 1st floor blind lunettes with
Gibbs surrounds. Returns similar; right return has rear
range of 5 bays.
