GV II

Sewage pumping station, now disused. c1909. Probably by JH Hirst, architect of the Pickering Homes(qv). Coursed squared stone with ashlar dressings and plain tile roof. Complementary style to the nearby Pickering Homes. Chamfered plinth, quoins, coped gables with kneelers. Facing gable has a round-arched doorway, now blocked, and above a roundel containing a lozenge-shaped window. Roof has a gabled ventilator. Included for group value.
